Snow and Food, perfect weekend

So I woke up Thursday morning to about 2" of snow on the ground and news that UNT was still having class, which I was not happy about. I made the trip back to Denton, and became less bitter on the way because it was way too beautiful to be upset. I trekked through the snowstorm to class because I had a quiz to take, came back to the apartment and got the glorious text that said campus was closing at noon. After much convincing from both my parents and Kyle, I headed home and prayed that class would be canceled for Friday too. And thankfully it was!

Highlight of the snow was taking Jordan out in it, she went crazy! I wish I had taken a video of her, unfortuntely I'm just not that good. Jo would stick her nose in the snow and then come up and have snow all over her face, then she would jump all around like a bunny. She had a blast! She ran around with Nick and his friends as they had a snowball fight and it was just the cutest thing ever. I took some pics of her on my good camera, so I'll have to put those up soon.

Thankfully the snow didn't stop any of me and Kyle's Valentine's Day plans. Since I have class, we decided to celebrate on Saturday night. Last year I was still dealing with Mono, and wasn't up for a big dinner or going out so Kyle was super sweet and made an indoor picnic for us, complete with a smore machine. It was so wonderful, and perfectly us. So this year we decided to skip the restaurants and typical vday stuff, and have a night that fit us--cooking, olympics, and relaxing. I found some awesome recipes in my Rachel Ray magazine for dinner and dessert. We made a Nutella semifriado Friday night so it would be nice and frozen for Saturday, and then we made a meat rigatoni pasta for dinner. It was delicious, not to brag but yummy!! haha. Here are some pictures of our fun night

I wore my apron that he gave me for Christmas
Kyle had to run to the store and buy a cheese grater cause we couldn't find one at his house haha
The finished pasta, Kyle is kinda a messy stir-er haha, but an awesome chef!

The finished product

And with all the excitement, I forgot to take a picture of our dessert presentation, but it was amazing!

Hope your Valentine's days were delicious and full of love
