Babysitting

So I have been blessed to find an amazing family that I have babysat for almost a year. They have two boys and one on the way. I love the time I get to spend with the boys because they have such an untainted view of the world. Everything is good, and fun, and if they fall down or get hurt they forget about it a few minutes later and are laughing again.

Yesterday was a tough day for me because of some family situations, and I was having a hard time focusing on what was going on. On my way over to babysit I was just praying that God would give me peace of mind so that I could enjoy my time with these boys and give them my full attention and love. Man God is good! We had a wonderful time, they always make me laugh. Jack is a crazy man and runs around but whenever I sit down he always comes and sits on my lap or right next to me which I love. AJ is a talker, and can remember things so well. Whenever I ask "Do you know where I ate last night?" He says "Yeah." Which always makes me laugh. Or if you say "AJ how's your snack?" He'll say, "Doing good."

I brought over plastic lizards yesterday for April Fool's Day. I thought we could play a joke on their mom when she got home and have them say "April Fool's". But AJ told me "I don't want to say that!" So we had fun just playing with them, AJ would bring it over by my face and I would pretend to freak out and he just looked at me and goes "It's not a real lizard Maddie." I guess he's more mature than I am! haha.

Being around them, and my Sunday school kids, just reminds me of the beauty of life. And I am so thankful for the time I get to spend with them doing all the fun things I enjoy...coloring, play-dough, chalk, bubbles...I mean it doesn't get better than that!!
